Drop Table Adjustments
Drop table adjustments are a chiropractic technique that uses a special table with segmented sections that drop slightly during an adjustment. The chiropractor applies a quick, controlled force to the spine or pelvis, and the table's drop mechanism reduces the amount of force needed for the adjustment, making it gentler for both the patient and the doctor.
Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)
IASTM (commonly referred to as scraping therapy) is a technique used in chiropractic care to treat soft tissue injuries. It involves using a specialized tool to apply pressure and scrape over the skin in a repetitive motion. The goal is to break up scar tissue, improve blood flow, and reduce muscle tension.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy in chiropractic care involves placing soft suction cups on the skin to improve blood flow and relieve muscle tension. The suction pulls the skin and underlying tissues into the cup, promoting circulation and aiding the body's natural healing processes. This technique helps reduce pain, inflammation, and muscle tightness, making it useful for treating conditions like back pain, muscle stiffness, and general soreness.
