Manual Modalities
These modalities may be added on to chiropractic appointments or as stand alone appointments - they are 20 minutes. An initial evaluation is required before being able to book these modalities as an add on or a single service - I want to ensure you are a good candidate! These modalities are not typically covered by insurance, and thus are an out of pocket expense.
- Cupping
- Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Massage (AKA Gua Sha/Scraping/Graston)
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Massage
A soft tissue modality to help with various soft tissue injuries and ailments. The specialized tool is used on the skin with an emolient to glide over the skin and underlying tissues. This is meant to help break up any scar tissue, improve blood flow, and aid in reducing muscular tightness.
Cupping
Cupping therapy involves placing plastic or silicone suction cups on the skin to improve blood flow and relieve muscle tension. The suction pulls the skin and underlying tissues into the cup, promoting circulation and aiding the body's natural healing processes. This technique helps reduce pain, inflammation, and muscle tightness, making it useful for treating conditions like back pain, muscle stiffness, and general soreness.
