What is the purpose of chiropractic care?
Chiropractic care focuses on the musculoskeletal system of the entire body - not just the spine. Chiropractors are trained to assess various muscles and joints. When assessing the joints they are determining how the joint is moving. If it is not moving optimally it is considered a "joint dysfunction" or a "joint restirction." Muscles are assessed to determine how "tight" they are. The purpose of treatment is to target the muscles that are tight and the joint restrictions.
